Distinctly Kelowna Tours is excited to announce that our third annual Christmas Charity Light Tour was a great success! Participants generously donated 63 toys and $415.00 cash to the Westside Community Food Bank.
Debbie and Amber spent 3 hours a few days prior to the tour scouting out the homes with the most spectacular lights. Hot chocolate and a cookie tempted Amber to come along for the ride. A route just over an hour in duration was devised for the drivers. The sold out tour took guests to see extraordinary light displays in Glenrosa, Westbank, Smith Creek and Rose Valley.
We are excited to have partnered with the Cove Lakeside Resort again this year. Everyone enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies generously donated by The Cove. Santa Claus was in the beautifully decorated lobby greeting guests on the first tour. The Cove “elves” handed out cookies and poured delicious hot chocolate topped with whipped cream.
The first tour departed at 5:45 and the second tour departed at 7:30 from The Cove. Everyone received a photo card and candy cane prior to boarding the decorated bus and Christmas carols were playing throughout the hour and a half long tour in the bus. Due to the overwhelming response we had for the tour we also operated our 15 passenger van on both tours. The first group in the van got into the Christmas spirit and sang Christmas carols throughout the tour.
Owner, Debbie Dupasquier, would like to thank Amber O’Sullivan, Jerry Rawson and Jeff Olensky for kindly donating their time to make the event a success. Distinctly Kelowna Tours would also like to thank The Cove Lakeside Resort for their support of this great event.
